Senior Software Engineer · Bangalore, India

I write software that makes “3–5 business days” sound like a threat.

Hi, I'm Ankit. I work on on-demand delivery at Blitz — the quick-commerce network that gets e-commerce orders to your door in under 60 minutes, before the confirmation email has finished finding you.

A short history of me pushing to production and mostly getting away with it.

Blitz · Senior Software Engineer

Jun 2026 — Present · Bangalore

Blitz runs the fulfillment and last-mile network that lets 90+ D2C brands — Adidas, Puma, MamaEarth — deliver in under 60 minutes. I work on the on-demand delivery systems in the middle. I joined recently, so I can't take credit for your sneakers arriving in 40 minutes. Yet. Give me a quarter.

Stonks AI · Founder

Dec 2025 — Apr 2026 · Bangalore

Founded a fintech app that read stock exchange filings with AI and fanned out real-time insights to thousands of user channels — Flutter on the front, Go and Node.js microservices at the back, six subscription tiers in between. Learned that 'founder' is a fancy word for 'person who does customer support at 2 a.m.'

Gojek · Software Engineer 2

Jul 2022 — Dec 2025 · Bangalore · promoted Jul 2024

Built and scaled the chatbot at one of Southeast Asia's biggest super-apps — powering marketing campaigns and help flows for millions of users. Scaled campaign sends 12×, migrated 80GB+ of live data with zero downtime, and wired in LLMs so the bot could actually solve your problem instead of asking you to rephrase it.

Gojek · Software Engineering Intern

Mar 2022 — Jun 2022 · Remote

Built the Bot-Platform Admin UI in React and shipped conversation-flow APIs across HTTP and gRPC services. Did well enough that they kept me around for another 3.5 years.

Projects

Things I built because nobody asked

Side projects: where engineers go to use technologies their day job won't approve.

Stonks AI

An AI market-intelligence app that reads corporate filings the second they drop, rates the sentiment, and pings you before the market finishes reading the headline. Live on iOS and Android. The insights are AI's; the 2 a.m. bug fixes were mine.

Dynamic Pricing Engine

A Go gRPC service that evaluates pricing campaigns with SKU-level granularity at 120k RPM and 192ms P99. Built to prove a point. The point was proven.

Peditor

A real-time collaborative text editor. Google Docs, if Google Docs were built by one college student armed with Socket.IO and optimism. Auto-saves every second, because trust issues.

Cowin-CLI

A CLI that polled India's vaccine API and beeped when slots opened. Peak pandemic engineering — helped real humans get real vaccines while refresh-button people wept.

Node.jsCLI

Shortly

A URL shortener. It takes long URLs and makes them short. I refuse to elaborate further.

Astro-app

The official website of IIT (BHU)'s Astronomy Club, built from scratch. Aimed for the stars, settled for a very respectable Lighthouse score.

An augmented-reality showcase of alumni startups, built in 2019 — before AR glasses were cool, and conveniently also after they were cool the first time.

About

The human parts

Facts about me that don't fit in a résumé bullet but explain a lot.

I have a degree in Mining Engineering.

B.Tech from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, class of 2022. The only things I've mined professionally are Slack threads during incidents. But it taught me one enduring lesson: if you don't like where you are, dig.

I used to break things for fun.

Ranked 9th in Payatu's Infosec CTF at Inter-IIT Tech Meet 8.0. My ethical-hacking career peaked at 19 — these days the only thing I break into is production, and I file a change request first.

Otaku. Unapologetically.

I sketch anime characters and maintain a healthy delusion that I'll someday make a short film like Makoto Shinkai. Current progress: I've rewatched all his films. Twice. For research.

Petrolhead by passion.

I like distributed systems and combustion engines for the same reason: thousands of small explosions, carefully coordinated, somehow moving things forward.

It started with a Nexus 7.

At 17 I was flashing custom Android ROMs onto a tablet that absolutely did not deserve the abuse. One bricked device and a panic-Google session later, I was hooked on software for life.

Coffee-driven development.

Some engineers swear by chai. I run on coffee and the fear of a Kafka consumer group rebalancing at 6 p.m. on a Friday.
